For the second week in a row, Thor: Love and Thunder is again number 1 at the box office in France. Directed by Taika Waititi with Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale, the movie is about Thor fighting Gorr the God Butcher who intends to make the gods extinct. The Marvel movie grossed $3,139,541 reaching a total of $11,562,023.
Minions: The Rise of Gru is still at 2nd place. Directed by Kyle Balda, Brad Ableson, and Jonathan del Val, the movie is about the dream of a 12-year-old who wants to become the world’s greatest supervillain. This week the movie grossed $2,755,042 reaching a total of $17,461,160.
The French comedy Ducobu Président ! is in 3rd place. Directed by Elie Semoun, with Semoun, Émilie Caen, and Gabin Tomasino, the movie is about Ducobu starting the new school year and trying to be elected the student president during a crazy election campaign. For the second week, the movie grossed $1,275,012 reaching a total of $3,443,558.
French comedy called Menteur is staying in 4th place. Directed by Olivier Baroux with Tarek Boudali, Artus, and Pauline Clément, the movie is about the adventures of a man called Jerome who never stops lying but one day all his lies are becoming real. The movie grossed $1,015,500 reaching out a total of $2,793,749.
Top Gun: Maverick also remains in number 5 at the box office. Directed by Joseph Kosinski with Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, and Jennifer Connelly, this sequel is about Pete “Maverick” Mitchell who continues to push his limits as a test pilot and in charge of training a detachment of young graduates from the Top Gun school for a special mission that no pilot would have ever imagined. This week, the movie grossed $1,008,316 reaching a total of $39,765,658.
A new French comedy, Joyeuse retraite! 2 opened at the box office at number 6. Directed by Fabrice Bracq with Michèle Laroque, Thierry Lhermitte, and Constance Labbé, the movie is about a retired couple with their grandchildren who discovered that their vacation house is still under construction. The movie grossed this week $861,346.
Lightyear has dropped to 7th place. The movie is about the true story of the legendary Space Ranger who has since inspired the famous toy. After being stranded with his commander and his crew on a hostile planet located 4.2 million light-years from Earth, Buzz Lightyear tries to bring everyone home safe and sound. This week, the movie grossed $433,447 reaching a total of $9,756,225.
Jurassic World: Dominiondropped to 8th place. The movie is directed by Colin Trevorrow with Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Laura Dern, and takes place four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar when dinosaurs now live and hunt alongside humans all over the world. As Bestas opened in 10th place. The movie is about a happy couple who works on their farm, but their life will soon change forever, because of a conflict with their neighbors.
