The Closing Ceremony of the 76th Cannes Film Festival

The 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival ended on Saturday, May 27, 2023, with the awarding of the coveted Palme d’Or to Anatomy of the Fall, directed by Justine Triet. The Palme d’Or was presented by Jane Fonda. The closing ceremony hosted by actress Chiara Mastroianni offered some surprises.

President of the jury, director Ruben Östlund, had explained that his approach was going to be “democratic” from the beginning to the end of the festival. “I like to listen to what everyone is saying about the different films.
