Golden Globe Fashion – The Best Looks and Trends for the Season
The 81st Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet shimmered with glamour and spectacle. Taylor Swift wore a metallic lime custom-made Gucci sheath with a plunging back, harnessed with three delicate straps ascending horizontally from the waist. Rosamund Pike was dramatic in a black lace, vintage-inspired cocktail dress by Dior with appliquéd net sleeves. She donned a fascinator to finish the look. The veiled headgear was initially considered due to a ski accident that left her with face injuries that had healed by the night, but the sophisticated look had taken root. The elegant ensemble may yet be a fashion first that will trend hereafter.
While the carpet was an array of shapes and hues, many ankle-length gowns were seen; Selena Gomez was awed in an asymmetrical Giorgio Armani with a wide belt and cutouts on the bodice punctured with flower details. The black satin inner lining leaked out deliberately as a tease.
Margot Robbie looked marvelous in an Armani Privé bright pink sheath with crystals netting. At the same time, Golden Globe winner Ayo Edebiri continued her way to fashion icon status in a strapless red Prada.
