While studying film and television at Utrecht University, Rosemarie (Romy) van Krieken spent six months at the University of London’s Goldsmith College. After getting her master’s degree, she started working for Veronica, the leading Dutch weekly entertainment magazine. Thirty years later, she is still their main reporter on staff and contributes a regular dose of reviews, interviews and other articles concerning films and series. She continues to educate herself by being an avid reader and viewer, and working as an interpreter/translator for various festivals. She gladly passes on her knowledge by teaching classes in film history and film analysis, serving on international festival juries and working for the Filmjaarboek (Dutch Film Annual).
