Seth Meyers

Seth Meyers (born Dec. 28, 1973, in Evanston, Illinois) is a TV writer, book author and host of NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

Meyers began his TV career with “Saturday Night Live” in 2001 where he was a cast member for 13 seasons. He served as head writer for nine seasons and “Weekend Update” anchor for eight.

In 2019, Meyers released his debut standup special, “Lobby Baby,” on Netflix. His second stand-up special, “Dad Man Walking,” premiered on HBO and Max in October 2024, and garnered a Golden Globe nomination for performance in stand-up comedy on television.

In 2018 he hosted the Golden Globe Awards, which was Emmy nominated for outstanding variety special.

Meyers is co-creator and executive producer, alongside Fred Armisen and Bill Hader, of IFC’s docu-parody series “Documentary Now!” and an executive producer of “The Amber Ruffin Show” for Peacock. He executive produced and lent his voice to Hulu’s animated superhero show “The Awesomes” and executive produced “A.P. Bio” for NBC and Peacock. Meyers and “Late Night” showrunner Mike Shoemaker established their production company, Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions, in 2017.

Meyers hosted the 2010 and 2011 ESPY Awards on ESPN and headlined the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Assn. dinner. In addition, Meyers was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people. for 2014.

Meyers’ first picture book, “I’m Not Scared, You’re Scared,” was published in 2022. He currently co-hosts two podcasts, “Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers,” alongside his brother Josh Meyers, and “The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast,” with Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone.
