Amarsanaa Battulga is a film journalist, critic, and programmer from Mongolia. He has served on juries at the Locarno Film Festival, the Hong Kong International Film Festival, the Golden Ger International Film Festival, and the Kharkhorum International Film Festival. As a pre-selector and programmer, he has worked with festivals such as True/False, Cambridge, Glasgow Shorts, Berlin NewGen, the Chinese Film Festival Hamburg, and the Ulaanbaatar International Film Festival. His writing has appeared in publications such as Die Welt, Cineuropa, photogénie, and Documentary, among others, in English, Chinese, Mongolian, German, and Dutch. He’s a FIPRESCI member, Berlinale Talent Press alumnus, and PhD researcher at Nanjing University.
