Marc Tió
Based in New York City since 2009, Marc Tió is a correspondent journalist covering entertainment and current events for several media organizations. You can read his articles about film and TV in the Spanish magazine ‘Hearst Fotogramas’ and listen to the broadcast of his news pieces on the leading Catalan radio station ‘RAC1’. Over the years, he has also covered the New York Film Festival, the Tribeca Film Festival, and the Sundance Film Festival, and he is a proud member of GALECA, the Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics. Besides the entertainment industry, Marc writes about traveling trends in the legendary magazines ‘Condé Nast Traveler Spain’ and ‘National Geographic Viajes’.
After completing his BA in Communications at Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, Marc worked for the public television network of Catalonia, ‘Televisió de Catalunya’, reporting on film, arts, and theater for the primetime news shows. He then moved to the private sector as the editor-in-chief of the local TV station, ‘Localia’, owned by PRISA. Marc has experience in producing, editing, and writing all sorts of stories in any audiovisual medium. Being a Golden Globes voter is a childhood dream come true.
