Nouvelle Vague

Richard Linklater directed two films released in 2025: Blue Moon and Nouvelle Vague. The former is about a songwriter at the end of his career, while the latter is about a French filmmaker just beginning his. The French-language Nouvelle Vague, distributed by Netflix in the U.S., re-creates the filming of Jean-Luc Godard’s groundbreaking A Bout de Souffle (Breathless). Linklater’s film stars Guillaume Marbeck, Zoey Deutch and Aubrey Dullin as, respectively, Godard, Jean Seberg and Jean-Paul Belmondo.
