Diahann Carroll
Diahann Carroll (born Carol Diann Johnson in New York City, July 17, 1935, died October 4, 2019) acted in movies like Carmen Jones and Porgy and Bess (1959) with Sidney Poitier and Dorothy Dandridge, Paris Blues (1961) by Martin Ritt with Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward and Sidney Poitier, Harry Sundown (1967) with Michael Caine and Jane Fonda, Claudine (1974) with James Earl Jones, Eve’s Bayou (1997) written and directed by Kasi Lemmons. On television she starred in the series Julia (1968-1971), the TV movie Sister Sister (1982) with Irene Cara, acted in the series Dynasty (1984-1987) and spinoff The Colbys (1985-1986).
