John Irving

John Irving (born as John Wallace Blunt Jr. on March 2, 1942, Exeter, New Hampshire) is an acclaimed American novelist who was nominated for a Golden Globe for his sole screenplay, The Cider House Rules (1999). Others scripted the film adaptations of such novels as The World According to Garp (1982) and The Hotel New Hampshire (1984).
