Valerie Perrine (born September 3, 1943 in Galveston Texas, died March 23, 2026) made her acting debut in Slaughterhouse-Five (1972) directed by George Roy Hill from the 1969 novel by Kurt Vonnegut. She received a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of Honey Bruce in Lenny (1974) directed by Bob Fosse starring Dustin Hoffman. She played Gene Hackman’s girlfriend in Superman (1978) by Richard Donner, the ex-wife of Robert Redford in The Electric Horseman (1979) by Sydney Pollack, Jack Nicholson’s wife in The Border (1982) by Tony Richardson, and played Margo in What Women Want (2000) by Nancy Meyers.
