Irving “Ving” Rhames (born in New York City, May 12, 1959) acted in movies like The Long Walk Home (1990), Homicide (1991) by David Mamet, Dave (1993) by Ivan Reitman, Pulp Fiction (1994) written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, Striptease (1996) with Demi Moore, Con Air (1997), Rosewood (1997) by John Singleton, Out of Sight (1998) by Steven Soderbergh, Entrapment (1999), Bringing Out the Dead (1999) by Martin Scorsese, Baby Boy (2001) by John Singleton. He played agent Luther Stickell in the Mission Impossible film series starring Tom Cruise, Mission: Impossible (1996), Mission: Impossible 2 (2000), Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation (2015), Mission: Impossible-Fallout (2018). On television Rhames starred in Don King: Only in America (1997), played O.J. Simpson’s lawyer Johnnie Cochran in American Tragedy (2000).
