Barkhad Abdi

Barhad Abdi (born in Mogadisju, Somalia, April 10, 1985) was a non-professional actor cast by director Paul Greengrass to play the menacing leader of the Somali kidnappers in Captain Phillips (2013) starring Tom Hanks. He had a supporting role in Eye in the Sky (2016) starring Helen Mirren.
