Kristien Gijbels has been a Golden Globe voter since 2014. After graduating with a BA in journalism from Hogeschool PXL (formerly known as XIOS Hogeschool Limburg), Gijbels became a full-time employee of DPG Media in 2011, the biggest media company in Belgium and The Netherlands. While there, she has worked in major print, online, TV, and radio outlets including Het Laatste Nieuws, VTM Nieuws, and Q-Music.
