Luciana Rodríguez
Luciana Rodríguez has been a professional photographer and video editor since 2010. In 2015 she took the cultural journalism course at Fundación Itaú, where she discovered her love for journalistic writing and film criticism. In 2017 she graduated from the Higher School of Social Communication (UTU) with the title of technician in social communication-specialization in radio broadcasting. In 2019 she was selected by Editorial Planeta to be part of a group of amateur writers and together they edited the novel “A catalog of absence”. Since 2019, she has participated as a columnist in the Café Express TV program, hosted by Ariel Pérez and broadcast on the Nuevo Siglo TV channel. She is a contributing columnist in the digital medium Cooltivarte. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in audiovisual communication at the Faculty of Information and Communication (FIC-UDELAR). She has been on juries at film festivals, including International Student Film Festival (FENACIES) – since 2019; Punta del Este International Film Festival 2023; ACCU Jury Short Film category – 2023; International Documentary Film Festival of Uruguay (ATLANTIDOC) – 2023; voter in the 81st edition of the Golden Globes Award – 2023; 42nd International Film Festival of Uruguay organized by Cinemateca in 2024
