The Beverly Hilton Unveils the Menu of the 80th Golden Globe® Award
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association® (HFPA) and The Beverly Hilton announced this morning the unveiling of the menu for the 80th Annual Golden Globe® Awards. This year’s menu features locally sourced ingredients from Southern California along with fresh, responsibly farm-raised Icelandic Salmon. Additionally, any extra food that is not able to be used during the Golden Globes will be donated to the Hollywood Food Coalition.
“In developing the menu, we celebrated the flavors and culture of the region’s gastronomy, which serve as a foundation for this year’s Golden Globes menu and as the cornerstone of our legendary menus here at The Beverly Hilton”, said Matthew Morgan, Executive Chef, The Beverly Hilton.
“We are using a variety of ingredients that are in season, highly sustainable, and delicious. In the Icelandic Salmon dish we are using Oro Blanco grapefruit from the tree in my backyard for aromatic zest and acidity, Maya Pura honey that I brought back from a trip to the Riviera Maya, and celery root, rich in nutrients and fiber, grown within 100 miles of the Beverly Hilton,” he continued.
Moët & Chandon will be featuring its 2012 Grand Vintage, which is exceptional in its maturity, complexity, and charisma, alongside Moët Imperial Rosè, a spontaneous, radiant, and romantic champagne. Icelandic Glacial, the naturally alkaline, sustainably sourced spring water from Iceland, will be served with the food courses during the Golden Globes ceremony in a limited edition glass bottle design, along with Timothy Maguire Chocolates of North Carolina. Floral arrangements will be provided by Marks Garden.
The Beverly Hilton has been the home of the Golden Globe® Awards since 1961. This year’s event will air live on NBC and Peacock on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 5 p.m. PST / 8 p.m. EST from The Beverly Hilton’s legendary International Ballroom.
