Sissy Spacek on Bloodline
It's always a pleasure talking with Sissy Spacek, like visiting with an old friend. The Texas actress has assembled 8 nominations and 3 Best Actress Golden Globes – for Coal Miners Daughter (1981), Crimes of the Heart (1987) and In The Bedroom (2002). In a remarkable career which has spanned five decades she has worked with some of the great American directors beginning in the hallowed period of Hollywood auteurs: the seventies. Spacek stopped by the HFPA for a chat about her life and films and her latest venture – a move to the small screen with Bloodline the Globe-nominated southern gothic drama for Netflix, which she termed her latest adventure.
