Ellen DeGeneres on Finding Dory
After a 12-year wait, audiences can now finally decide by themselves if the long-awaited Finding Nemo sequel – Finding Dory – helmed by Pixar stalwart Andrew Stanton, was worth the wait. Stanton has been the mind behind some of Pixar’s biggest hits and best movies – Toy Story, A Bug’s Life and Wall-E and has either written directed or produced films that have won a cumulative seven Golden Globes (out of eight nominations!). Finding Dory takes place six months after the events of Nemo and tells the story of the eponymous amnesiac Pacific Regal Blue Tang (Ellen DeGeneres reprises her role) and her journey home across the ocean to the Monterey Marine Life Institute. Here Dory, on a quest to reunite with her family meets new friends, Bailey, A white beluga whale (Ty Burrell), whale shark Destiny (Kaitlin Olson) and cranky octopus Hank (Ed O’Neill) – a cephalopod who stands as the digital studio’s latest animation achievement (special proprietary software was developed by the Emeryville geniuses in order o create him). Here’s what DeGeneres had to say when we asked them about the film.
