The series that runs on unadulterated hate is coming back to Showtime, well at least on the visceral dislike between the two characters driving the narrative. The very personal battle between billionaire hedge funder Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis) and his nemesis, U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades Jr. (two-time Globe laureate Paul Giamatti) had already involved into an epic death spire in the first season. Now, as the new season gets underway if anything it is destined to escalate further and the winners are the fans who get to see the two masterful actors in action. The HFPA’s Jenny Cooney spoke to Damian Lewis about what else has made the series so successful.
