Tully is the third collaboration between Globe-winning director Jason Reitman and Globe nominee Diablo Cody (following Juno and Young Adult). The latest film also marks the return of frequent Reitman collaborator, Globe winner (and four-time nominee) Charlize Theron. The South African actress, who gained forty pounds for the role, is barely recognizable as the harried mother of three and wife of overworked husband Ron Livingston, who finally breaks down and hires a nanny who may be too good to be true … The HFPA’s Margaret Gardiner and Mirai Konishi asked Reitman and Theron about producing the film.
