In 1988 senator Gary Hart launched a presidential campaign that quickly brought him to the front of the fray – only to implode spectacularly when some not very wholesome elements of Hart’s life came to the surface. Golden Globe winning director Jason Reitman tells the tale in The Front Runner, with another Golden Globe winner, Hugh Jackman, as Hart. HFPA journalist met with Jackman in Toronto to find out how much of this 30-year-old story is relevant today.
