Happy 80th Birthday, Joe Pesci

The three-time Golden Globe nominee – for Raging Bull, Good Fellas and The Irishman  – is that rare Hollywood icon who is both a character actor and a star. Born in Newark, New Jersey he, not so surprisingly, made a career out of playing tough guys, most notably the psychotic mobster killer in Good Fellas. But he also starred as the hilariously funny and unlucky burglar in the Home Alone – movies and nearly stole the show as con man Leo Getz in Lethal Weapon 2, a role he reprised in the sequel. He is also known for the shortest ever acceptance speech at the Oscars when he simply said: “It is my privilege.” Well, Mister Pesci, it is ours, too. HFPA-reporter Raffi Boghosian compiled Joe Pesci‘s best scenes for this 80th birthday tribute.
