Venice Film Festival: Fashion’s Dark Elegance

Simple elegance dominated the first red carpet of the 74th Venice Film Festival. Patterns and subtle European style were on display. Blues and black came out in understated refinement. Lighter colors highlighted texture. Personality was front and center, same as individuality – though diversity in ethnicity had to be deliberately sought and people of color were not immediately visible.
