Feathers, flowers, flounces and svelte shapes were everywhere at the Asteroid City red carpet during the 76th annual Cannes film festival at Palais des Festivals. 

Scarlett Johansson, one of the stars of Asteroid City, was pretty in a pink satin sheath that gave the illusion of her bra peeking out, but was actually a fun trompe-l’œil – and the straps of her gown.

Lily-Rose Depp was young and modern in a tiny mini by Chanel, at the premiere of The Idol  – her hair in a chignon with tendrils. For the photocall of The Idol – seen here with Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye and Troye Sivan – she let her hair loose. Together the three were the image of ‘cool’ at the 76th annual Cannes film festival at Palais des Festivals on May 23, 2023 in Cannes, France. Julia Garner was gorgeous and glamorous in green satin, looking like an old-world movie star. Adrien Brody got with the trend for men and donned a sizable broach.

Brie Larson wore an A-line cocktail dress with feather trim on the base and black and white Mary Jane’s.

Charlotte Le Bon towered in platforms and sheer pants, while Rupert Friend was everywhere, whisking Maya Hawke for an impromptu dance, adding bunny ears to an unknowing Tom Hanks, and taking selfies.
