The American Red Cross Presents HFPA With Certificate of Recognition

Hollywood, CA, November 16, 2005 – The American Red Cross presented The Hollywood Foreign Press Association with a Certificate of Recognition today for the organization’s recent efforts to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Roger Dickson, CEO, American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles, presented the certificate to Philip Berk, President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, who accepted the award on behalf of the organization at a morning press conference.
“The Red Cross is pleased to have this opportunity to salute the Hollywood Foreign Press Association,” said Dickson. “They have been consistently generous supporters of our disaster relief efforts, and their donations have enabled us to provide life-saving help to hundreds of thousands of disaster victims.”
Over the past two years, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has given more than $2,500,000 in financial grants and donations.
