On Thursday, August 9, at 12:30 pm, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association  will host their annual luncheon announcing its new officers and directors, and present grants to non-profit entertainment related organizations and scholarship programs. Consistent with the event’s tradition, star-caliber presenters will be on hand at the historical Beverly Hills Hotel, on Sunset Boulevard, to help announce the grants. Last year the HFPA donated over $1.5 million to charities and cultural and educational institutions.Leonardo Di Caprio, Jessica Chastain, Gerard Butler, Kevin Bacon and Japanese popstar Yoshiki, composer of the Golden Globes’ theme, assisted with the festivities.Over the past 17 years the HFPA has given out  over $13.5 million in grants to non-profits.
