IT’S ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR THE GOLDEN GLOBES
With a little over a week to go until the Golden Globe awards, preparations are well underway and excitement is
building. Journalists, cameramen and television crews jostled for space in a packed ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel as plans for the Big Night were unveiled for the first time.
Chefs demonstrated the dishes which will be served to the 1,500 guests at the star-studded show, while Moet and Chandon introduced the first ever Golden Globes cocktail, the Moet Golden Night, to be served in the specially refurbished Golden Globes lounge. Florist Mark Held of Mark’s Gardens revealed a a varied mix of gold-tone roses and rust-coloured calla lilies for the floral arrangements which will adorn the tables.
The list of star presenters will be announced within the next few days and the red carpet will be rolled out next week in readiness for the show, which will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and will air live coast-to-coast on NBC on Sunday January 12. Chef Sugiura
