The HFPA has a new president. Members have elected Lorenzo Soria to succeed Theo Kingma, who has just completed his two year term. A member since 1989, Soria previously served as president in 2003-2005. Argentinian-born and raised in Italy, he has lived in Los Angeles since 1982 where he works for L'Espresso and La Stampa. His newly-elected vice-president will be Meher Tatna, who formerly served as treasurer. Other officers elected were: Executive secretary: Serge Rakhlin; treasurer: Jorge Camara; Board of directors: Theo Kingma, Luca Celada, Ali Sar, Anke Hofmann, Helen Hoehne, Mario Amaya (alternate).
