The Men and Women of U.N.C.L.E. Look Sharp

We’ll have to wait some weeks to check out The Man from U.N.C.L.E. , Guy Ritchie’s take on the cult 1960s TV series. But when the stars came out to London to talk about their work in the picture, HFPA’s Margaret Gardiner was on hand to report on their fabulous looks:

Henry Cavill shows his funny side as Napoleon Solo in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Dressed in Dunhill, the Batman v. Superman star shows he knows a lot about clothing – but do you prefer him in a Superman cloak?
New dad Armie Hammer looked fresh in a shirt and trousers by Todd Snyder, paired with shoes from Johnston and Murphy. Having played twins in The Social Network, and aging throughout J. Edgar, the handsome actor delivers a Russian accent as Ilya Kuryakin in The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Alicia Vikander became the new ‘it’ girl after delivering a stellar performance in Ex Machina. The Swedish actress shines again in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. holding her own with co-stars Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer. She was a study in blue in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton.
Elizabeth Debicki stands out in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. – easy to do when you are almost 6’3”. But the Australian actress has the acting chops to make that sentence about more than just her height. She was beyond basic black in a piece by L’Agence and sling-backs by Jimmy Choo.

Guy Ritchie, who excels at ‘action with a droll sense of humor’, (RockNRolla, Sherlock Holmes), helms Warner Brothers’ The Man From U.N.C.L.E. with a light touch. A scene of Henry Cavill consuming a sandwich, which has to be seen to be appreciated, will become an instant classic. The director showed his classic side at a Press Conference in London, in a Ralph Lauren jacket.
