President Lorenzo Soria, Officers Re-Elected for Second Term at the HFPA
Lorenzo Soria has been re-elected President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for the 2016-2017 year. This will be Soria’s fourth term in office, following his tenure in 2003-2004, 2004-2005 and 2015-2016.
“For more than 70 years, the HFPA has had the privilege of celebrating storytellers who’ve brought us some of the greatest stories of imagination, courage, and transformation,” said Soria. “In this next year we are not only thrilled to continue our work, but also committed to expanding our philanthropic programs so that we use our platform to empower these same qualities in people and communities we serve throughout the world.”
Vice-president Meher Tatna, treasurer Jorge Camara and executive secretary Serge Rakhlin were also re-elected. Board Chair Ali Sar and officers Luca Celada, Helen Hoehne, Anke Hoffman and Ruben Nepales, with Yoram Kahana serving as alternate, comprise the HFPA’s board for 2016-2017.
The traditional Grants Banquet that marks the HFPA’s contributions to a variety of non-profit organizations will be held later this summer.
