“Music is a gift. Music has been the skeleton key that's gotten me through every door including this one” says Pharrell Williams ,talking about his work as songwriter and producer for the upcoming movie Hidden Figures, a true and surprising story about the first US space travel.

“Music is like the language of the muses” he added.” It comes from the term muses so when you are able to get that information from the muses you're called a musician. So it's a gift.  It is a byproduct of inspiration which is not promised to anyone.  I look at it as something that I prize very highly and I'm very blessed to be able to do what it is that I'm able to do and to be surrounded by such amazing talent and to be gifted with these incredible opportunities. And by the way there's so many women that are involved in this movie it's crazy.  There are so many women behind the scenes that are powering this film.  It's a lot of – lot of estrogen (Laughter) and I couldn't be more grateful and, to bring us all the way back to your question, music opened this door for me so I'm grateful.”
