Golden Globe winner for The Piano, Holly Hunter, the voice of Helen Parr in the upcoming Incredibles 2 has surrounded her impressive acting career with music.

“It’s a wonderful tool to get into characters and wake up emotions”, she told us. “Sometimes I really use a lot of music when I’m getting ready for a character or when I’m on the set, preparing to shoot, music can be kind of a critical, beautiful tool but not always. For instance, I used music only a little bit for Audrey Bayer, (from the HBO  series Here and Now) Alan Ball had written her so well, I didn’t need anything. For other characters, I’ve used music really exclusively.”
