The French comedy Serial (Bad) Weddings 3 stayed in 2nd. Directed by Philippe de Chauveron and starring Christian Clavier and Chantal Lauby, the third installment of the adventures of this modern multi-racial French family grossed $1,270,428 dollars, reaching a total of $14,526,527.
A newcomer arrived this week at the French box office. Downton Abbey: A New Era is the sequel to the 2019 movie in which the King and Queen of Great Britain are visiting the Crawley family and the Downton staff. The movie directed by Simon Curtis with Michelle Dockery, Tuppence Middleton, Maggie Smith, and Elizabeth McGovern debuted with $1,029,041 and is in 3rd position.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is one of the big surprises in France. For the second week, The Lost City held the 5th position. Directed by Aaron and Adam Nee and starring Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, and Daniel Radcliffe, the movie follows a novelist kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire who is convinced that she can help him find the treasure of a lost city mentioned in her latest book. The Lost City grossed 983,978 dollars reaching a total of 3,385,787 dollars.
The Bad Guys is now in 6th place. Directed by Pierre Perifel, the DreamWorks animated film chronicles the adventures of a gang of animals who are fearsome criminals. The film grossed $ 770,22, reaching a total of $ 5,949,633.
Operation Mincemeat opened in 7Th place. Directed by John Madden with Colin Firth, Matthew Macfadyen, and Kelly Macdonald , the movie focuses on the British officers during World War II who used corpses and false papers to outwit the Nazis. The movie grossed $ 761,255 dollars in the first week.
