Marlon Wayons, Skye P. Marshall to Announce Globes Nominees on Dec. 8

The Golden Globes® announced that Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall will announce nominees for the 83rd Annual Golden Globes Monday, Dec. 8, 2025. All 28 categories will be unveiled at 8:15 a.m. ET/5:15 a.m. PT on  CBSNews.com (click here to download the CBS News app), with 11 exclusive categories revealed at 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT only on “CBS Mornings.”  

Viewers can also stream the announcement live on the CBS News YouTube and TikTok channels. The nominees will be highlighted across Golden Globes social media accounts as they are announced, with the complete list of nominees available on the Golden Globes website immediately following the announcement. 

The 83rd Annual Golden Globes, the first major award show of the season, will be hosted by acclaimed Golden Globe-, Grammy- and Emmy-nominated comedian and actress Nikki Glaser, and will air Sunday, January 11, 2026 (8-11 PM, live ET/5-8 PM, live PT) on the CBS Television Network, and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S.

Actor, comedian, writer, producer, and director Marlon Wayans and actress, philanthropist, and Air Force veteran Skye P. Marshall will present the nominees across all 28 award categories, including one new category: Best Podcast. Wayans, whose career spans film, television and stand-up comedy, has amassed more than $736 million in domestic box office sales and over $1 billion globally. He is currently on the road with his “Wild Child” tour, recently appeared in Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Prods. psychological sports horror Him, and recently wrapped production on Scary Movie 6 for Miramax and Paramount Pictures. Wayans wrote, produced and stars in the film, slated for 2026.

Marshall has built a career with her performances in both film and television. Currently, she stars opposite Kathy Bates on CBS’ one-hour drama “Matlock” as Olympia Lawrence; she is also known for her roles as Mambo Marie in parts three and four of the Netflix series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”; and as Kara Fowdy in seasons one and two of The CW’s “Black Lightning” series, based on the DC Comics franchise.

This year, all 28 award categories will feature six nominees, with the exception of Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, which will include eight.

As the first major award show to honor podcasting, the new annual Best Podcast category debuting as part of the 83rd Annual Golden Globes will honor the extraordinary and diverse talents in the medium, demonstrating the Golden Globes’ commitment to the full spectrum of entertainment, while reflecting today’s audiences and consumption behavior around the world.
