Bundle of Style: See How A-List Moms-to-Be Dressed Their Baby Bumps
Last night’s Golden Globes’ red carpet was extra special. Why? Because of the amazing baby bumps!
Olivia Wilde, Drew Barrymore and Kerry Washington all arrived to the 71st Annual Golden Globes sporting the best accessory a girl could have: A growing belly. While it’s certainly not easy to dress an expanding waistline in couture, this trio showed no qualms. Each of their outfits fit their figures flawlessly and radiated that mom-to-be beauty.
Ironically, the actresses’ choices channeled very different vibes: Olivia opted for glam, Drew got playful, and Kerry went for elegant sophistication. Sorry Hollywood, but you had no chance in outshining these gals! Read on to find out who dressed their baby bump best and click here to see their ensembles. Drew Barrymore: It’s safe to say Barrymore’s pregnancy glow was in full bloom at last night’s shindig. The mom-to-be dressed her baby bump in a pink petal-filled creation by Monique Lhuillier. The flower appliqué was certainly loud, but come on — it’s Drew. If her outfit wasn’t a bit quirky, it wouldn’t be right. We’re giving her bonus points for seamlessly matching her lipstick with the cherry red petals featured in the gown — the coupling made for one picture-perfect smile. Barrymore completed the look with Roger Vivier shoes, an Edie Parker clutch, and timeless Chanel jewelry.
Olivia Wilde: Ah, Olivia. Our fave fashionista covered her growing belly with a long-sleeved, emerald green Gucci Première gown. We have to say, it’d be hard to critique this sequined ensemble. The silhouette hugged her (still insane, may we add) figure to a T, and her flowing hair complemented a pretty makeup palette featuring neutral lips and dramatic eyes. Can we say hot mama?
Kerry Washington: Let it be known — Kerry Washington makes no mistakes on the red carpet. The “Scandal” star confirmed her pregnancy last night (for the first time!) wearing a pale Balenciaga gown featuring drape detailing along the sides. The overlay perfectly encased her expanding stomach and was topped with a 1920s diamond brooch, Fred Leighton jewelry, Casadei shoes and straight hair. The ensemble lent Kerry elegant sophistication that could not be outdone.
