Dakota Johnson selected as 2006 Miss Golden Globe
Dakota Johnson, age 16, is the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. She is the first daughter of a former Miss Golden Globe to ever be selected. She is also the first Miss Golden Globe to have two Golden Globe-winning parents. A five-time Golden Globe nominee, Melanie Griffith received the Golden Globe as Best Actress (comedy or musical) for Working Girl. Don Johnson received the Golden Globe as Best Actor in a Television Series (drama) for Miami Vice.
“We are delighted to have Dakota Johnson uphold the family tradition and help us celebrate the 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards,” said Berk at the announcement. “The Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Board of Directors was unanimous in the decision to select this enchanting third-generation performer.”
