Executive-producer Glover leads the cast as Earn, a Princeton dropout who tries to manage the rap career of his cousin in a desperate bid to reclaim his life.  The show was renewed by FX for Season 2 two weeks after it premiered, a reaction to the critical plaudits that took Glover completely by surprise.  “We really thought we would get canceled immediately.  We thought it might be too much.  It was very absurdist, so we thought people would think it was too absurd.  But the world has gotten really absurd, so people caught up with us, I guess.”   Less about storylines and more about a slice of the particular life led by the protagonists, it is really about them making it through one more day.  This is Glover’s first Golden Globe nomination.
