“Our mission is to make music that doesn’t *@!&k suck”, that matter of fact assessment delivered to a group of HFPA journalists by Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, might well be considered the understatement of the year by the band’s legion of fans. Linkin Park, one of contemporary Rock’s most successful bands by any measure, is about to release its sixth album The Hunting Party (due out in June) and is gearing up for a summer U.S. tour with 30 Seconds to Mars and AFI. Bennington and fellow band member Mike Shinoda stopped by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s office to answer round table questions about both as well as their inspirations and creative process – as well as their frequent collaborations in film and new media.
