Stars To Come Out in Support of HFPA’s Grant Giving
The stars will converge on the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Thursday, August 13, for the HFPA’s Annual Grants Banquet Dinner. Grants to various non-profit entertainment-related organizations and scholarship programs will be announced by Halle Berry, Bryan Cranston, America Ferrara, Saoirse Ronan, Andrew Garfield, Benicio del Toro, Sarah Silverman, Joe Manganiello, Elizabeth Banks, Jon Hamm, Jane Fonda, Elliot Page, Sharon Stone, Brie Larson and Dakota Johnson. Ice Cube, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jason Isaacs, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Randall Park, Sophia Bush, Topher Grace and Ty Burrell will also be on hand to reveal the new grantees. This year, the HFPA will grant in excess of $2 million in funding to various non-profits, topping last year’s contributions of more than $1.9 million. Through the years the Association has granted a total of $23.9 million to a host of institutions and projects, ranging from higher education and preservation of films to training, mentoring and promoting cultural exchange through cinema.
