Worldwide box office up to date is 501,4 million dollars. But the film’s overseas revenue is four times more than the box office in the North American territories: 100,4 million dollars Life of Pi had one of the strongest showing in China with a total of 90,8 million dollars. Due to the continuing international response Ang Lee’s film has a good chance of becoming one of the 100 biggest box office successes of all time.
