Francesca Eastwood, Miss Golden Globe 2013

Francesca Eastwood, daughter of Clint Eastwood and actress Frances Fisher, is the Miss Golden Globe of the 70th Golden Globe Awards. Francesca is the second Eastwood to become a Miss Golden Globe – her half-sister Kathryn Eastwood, daughter Clint Eastwood and Jacelyn Reeves, received the title in 2005. HFPA President Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly made the announcement this evening at the first party of the 2013 Golden Globe Awards Season, hosted by the HFPA and InStyle.

The star-studded event was held at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood and was presented by vitaminwater® and the World Gold Council. Gia Mantegna, Miss Golden Golden 2011, helped introduce Francesca. “Francesca comes from a very talented family and we are delighted to have her be our Miss Golden Globe,” said Takla-O’Reilly. “She is a budding actress and is a great addition as we celebrate the show’s 70th anniversary!” “I am honored to have been chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press to be Miss Golden Globe of 2013,” said Francesca Eastwood. “I have watched the Golden Globes ceremonies since I was a little girl, and it means so much to me to be a part of one of Hollywood’s most illustrious events.” 19-year old Francesca has been acting alongside her parents since she was a young girl.

film credits include True Crime and The Stars Fell on Henrietta. She is currently seen on the hit reality show, E!’s Mrs. Eastwood and Company starring alongside her step-mother, Dina Eastwood, her younger half-sister, Morgan Eastwood, and the South African band Overtone. Francesca is currently enrolled at USC and has a passion for fashion. While acting runs through her veins, her goal is to make an impact in the fashion world as a fashion icon and contributor. Miss or Mister Golden Globe is a young actor, traditionally the daughter or son of a celebrity, chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to assist in the Golden Globes presentation. The tradition began in 1963 when Eva Six and Donna Douglas were chosen. Several Misses and Misters Golden Globes went on to establish careers and win awards of their own: Linda Evans (1964), Anne Archer (1971), Melanie Griffith (1975), Lura Dern (1982), Joely Fisher (1992), Freddie Prinze Jr. (1996), Tori Reid (1999) Dakota Johnson (2006) and Lorraine Nicholson (2007), among others.
