Directed by Taika Waititi with Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale, the movie is about Thor fighting Gorr the God Butcher who intends to make the gods extinct. This week, grossed $1,359,212 reaching out a total of $16,818,970.
The animated movie DC League of Super-Pets holds its 3rd place. Directed by Jared Stern and Sam Levine, the animated movie is about the new adventure of the super dog Krypto who must master his own powers for a rescue mission when his best friend Superman is kidnapped For its second week, the movie grossed $1,224,679 reaching out a total of $3,662,711.
Minions: The Rise of Gru dropped to 4th place. Directed by Kyle Balda, Brad Ableson, and Jonathan del Val, the movie is about a twelve-year-old’s dream to become the world’s greatest supervillain. The movie grossed this week $1,201,433 reaching out a total of $20,218,904.
Top Gun: Maverick holds number 5 this week. Directed by Joseph Kosinski with Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, and Jennifer Connelly, this sequel is about Pete “Maverick” Mitchell who continues to push his limits as a test pilot and in charge of training a detachment of young graduates from the Top Gun school for a special mission that no pilot would have ever imagined. A new French comedy, L’année du requin opened in 8th place at the box office. Directed by Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma with Marina Foïs, Kad Merad and Jean-Pascal Zadi, L’année du requin is about a policewoman who is on her way to get retired but needs to accomplish a last mission when a shark prowls the harbor of a beach in the southwest of France. French comedy Joyeuse retraite! 2 dropped to 9th place.
