Michael Jackson made one visit to the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton, in 1973. He arrived with his parents, Joe and Katherine, and took the stage to sing “Ben”, nominated for Best Song, Motion Picture, for the movie of the same title.  Minutes later, the song – already a hit at the box office – won the Golden Globe.
