Laurence Olivier accepts the special Cecil B. deMille award trophy for Outstanding Contributions to the World of Entertainment at the 40th Golden Globes, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel Saturday, January 29, 1983. Backstage he poses with presenter Dustin Hoffman, his co-star in Marathon Man (1976). Olivier had won a Best Actor Golden Globe in 1949 for Hamlet, that he also directed from the play by William Shakespeare and a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe in 1977 for Marathon Man directed by John Schlesinger.
