Steven Spielberg receives his first Best Director Golden Globe for Schindler’s List at the 51st ceremonies held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday January 22, 1994.  He would receive two more Golden Globes in 1999: Best Director and producer of the Best Motion Picture drama for Saving Private Ryan. In 2009 he was the recipient of the Cecil B. deMille award for Outstanding Contributions to the World of Entertainment.
