Golden Globes and Bvlgari Present Glorious Event at 76th Berlinale
After the great success of the shared Golden Globes and Bvlgari event last February, the Italian jewelry designer and the renowned awards organization once again invited stars, directors, producers and other luminaries to Berlin’s China Club.
Here, located at the back of the historic Adlon hotel and with a breathtaking view of Berlin’s Jewish memorial, which combines beautiful aesthetics with the saddest part of the country’s past, guests dined on fine food, enjoyed good wines and discussed the state of international cinema.
Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, and Bvlgari Managing Director Europe Benjamin Beaufils greeted their illustrious guests and provided a warm and safe haven for fruitful discussions while outside the typical Berlinale weather was somewhat less inviting.
“It was a joy to host such an inspiring group of creatives and industry leaders in Berlin. Evenings like this remind us that the Golden Globes are not only about honoring achievement, but they are also about building lasting connections across cultures and continents,” Hoehne said.
In the 76 years of its existence, the Berlinale has long proved to be a hub for international stars, timeless glamour, but also to be a place where new and so far, unknown filmmakers can be discovered and move on from being arthouse-darlings to becoming household names.
Among the guests at this year’s event were actors Ken Duken, Veronica Ferres, Florence Kasumba, Tom Wlaschiha, Anne-Marie Waldeck, Mala Emde, Luise Befort, Palina Rojinski, Iris Berben as well as directors Detlev, Buck, Christian Schwochow and producers Max Wiedemann (“The Lives of Others”), Katja Eichinger and Studio Babelsberg’s Director Studio Operations, Eike Wolf.
This year’s event once again combined the timeless allure of jewelry with the undeniable fascination of moving pictures, proving once again that glamour and art can exist in the same orbit.
Coming right on the heels of this year’s 83rd Annual Golden Globes, the evening also provided a welcome opportunity for the ever-growing number of Golden Globe voters from all across the world to interact with the talented people many know from the silver screen and whose contribution to the arts of cinema and television they truly cherish.
The evening reminded people about the growing connection between major festivals and awards seasons. By strengthening its international presence, the Golden Globes continue to be a bridge between Hollywood, global cinema and red carpet glamour.
