Golden Globes and Bvlgari Shine at Berlin Film Festival
The Golden Globes hosted a gathering at the China Club during the 75th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), along with Bvulgari, with the evening highlighting the importance of major festivals in shaping international cinema and fostering cultural exchange.
Berlinale continues to discover groundbreaking films and talents as well as showcasing works from established artists. The Golden Globes has always maintained close ties with major film festivals, discovering films that later become Golden Globes submissions and winners.
Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, emphasized, “The Berlinale deserves a global stage that honors the industry’s finest talents. Our collaboration with Bvlgari celebrates the power of storytelling and cultural exchange.” She also reminded guests of the success of this year’s Golden Globes ceremony, which garnered over 10 million views in the U.S. and another 8 million viewers worldwide, reinforcing its influence as one of the major awards in the entertainment industry.
Bvlgari has adorned Hollywood icons for decades. At Berlinale 75, the brand showcased high-jewelry pieces inspired by red carpet moments, reinforcing its role in amplifying cinematic glamour. During the evening, Bvlgari presented exclusive creations inspired by red carpet looks from stars such as Zendaya, Scarlett Johansson and Charlize Theron.
“Film and jewelry have one thing in common: they tell stories that transcend generations,” explains Bart de Boever, CEO of Bvlgari, in a statement. “Collaborating with the Golden Globes is a natural extension of our mission — to celebrate art, beauty, and icons.”
Hoehne added: “This is a unique opportunity to tell stories from around the world, to celebrate the power of film and to promote dialogue between cultures. With Bvlgari, we have a partner who shares these values and offers artists a stage through their creations to unfold their radiance.”
Berlinale has long been recognized as a hub for cinematic excellence and a platform for political and social discourse. Many films in this year’s selection address pressing global issues such as human rights, climate change, and social justice.
Among the guests at the Feb. 14 event were major names from European cinema, including Aaron Alteras, Malick Bauer, Ken Duken, Katja Eichinger, Veronica Ferres, Jeanne Goursaud, Nikolai Kinski, Iris Knobloch, Sebastian Koch, Thomas Kretschmann, Florence Kasumba, Sunnyi Melles, Clemens Schick, Tricia Tuttle, and Tom Wlaschiha.
The evening reminded people about the growing connection between major festivals and awards seasons. By strengthening its international presence, the Golden Globes continue to bridge Hollywood and global cinema.
