Have I Got a Movie for You! Buyers and Sellers Hit Cannes
The beaches of Cannes are populated with more than just scantily clad bathers, especially during the film festival. Film and production companies bring their talent to try and sell upcoming films to various foreign markets.
One such is Alta Global Media. On Wednesday, May 20th, at the Members Club Long Beach on the Croisette, the management, production, and PR agency hosted a photocall with many of its roster of clients in attendance including Alba Amira (American Night), Yassine Azzouz (Guru, Dernier Round), Matthew Butler Hart (Infinitum: Subject Unknown, The Isle), Tori Butler Hart (Infinitum: Subject Unknown, The Isle), Jimmy Jean-Louis (Assassin’s Club, Heroes), Luka Peros (La Casa de Papel, The Lost Princess), former Miss Vietnam Jessica Truong, Shantelle Rochester (Stolen), Sheridan De Meyers (Stolen).
The company officially unveiled the first details on its upcoming slate of projects currently in various stages of production including Stolen, the UK South African co-production starring Luka Peros, Jimmy Jean Louis, Alba Amira, and Shontelle Rochester directed by Sheridan De Meyers, Goat Days starring Jimmy Jean Louis, and Zero, shot on location in Senegal, currently in post-production.
While they might not be familiar faces to you yet, just wait. Cannes history is littered with new filmmakers making their mark on the French Riviera.
