The HFPA Announces the Sponsorship of the 20th Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced its sponsorship of the Academy-accredited Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival, a nine-day event for independent and established African American filmmakers to showcase, screen, and promote emerging feature, documentary, and short films from across the world. The HFPA will present a panel discussion on its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in support of access for underserved communities in Hollywood and international journalism.
“The HFPA is pleased and honored to be a sponsor of this prestigious and important film festival which serves as a launching pad and creative space for so much African American talent,” said Helen Hoehne, President of the HFPA. “The visions and contributions of these talented artists deserve the support of the entire entertainment industry and the attention of the international journalism community to bring to light these wonderful stories.”
