Members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association were honored with four nominations at the 8^th Annual National Arts and Entertainment Awards including best journalistic use of Social Media and best general news. Janet Nepales scored a 2^nd Place for Celebrity News with her article “Spotlight on Fil-Am Co-Director of Pixar’s Inside Out” for the Manila Bulletin. Ruben Nepales garnered a best feature photo award for his picture of Clint Eastwood in the Philippine Daily Inquirer. He also was nominated in the best news (print) category. Margaret Gardiner scored a nomination for the best use of social media with her story on “Africa’s New Hope: Mentoring Mothers”. At the sold out Gala at the Millenium Biltmore Hotel Joe Mantegna was also honored with the Visionary Award. Bob Barker received the Legendary Award and Tavis Smiley the Luminary Award for his career achievement.
